The National Showcase of SMK BISA (Astra Fostered) is an in-depth and comprehensive SMK development program, by prioritizing partnerships and alignment with the Astra Group to make SMK a national reference center, where all skill programs will be linked and matched with Astra Group companies. related, so as to improve the quality of vocational human resources that have global competitiveness.
The Director General of Vocational Education, Ministry of Education, Culture, Research and Technology of the Republic of Indonesia, Wikan Sakarinto said that SMK PGRI 2 Ponorogo is one of 1,400 Center of Excellence Vocational Schools that implement the Merdeka curriculum, which is a much more flexible curriculum, a curriculum that is more adaptive to what is desired. by industry.
It is recorded that Astra has fostered 3,320 vocational schools until 2021. More than 1200 vocational schools of which have Link and Match throughout Indonesia. To date, 137 SMKs have been verified with the Teaching Factory Assessment.
With the development of the Link & Match SMK BISA, 64% of the Astra Group's vocational graduates work for Astra's total employees, while the rest are directly absorbed by other industries and a small number of them continue their studies to the next level or become entrepreneurs.
