To kick off 2026, the Astragraphia Corporate Communications Team, in collaboration with the Astragraphia Bandung Branch, held a Competence Aid Program (CAP) educational event at SMK Prima Grafika, Bandung, on January 13, 2026. This CAP educational event was attended by 30 students of 11th and 12th grade from the Visual Communication Design (DKV) expertise.
Cipto Handy Utomo, Branch Manager of PT Astra Graphia Tbk's Bandung Branch, motivated the CAP participants.
Cipto Handy Utomo, Branch Manager of PT Astra Graphia Tbk's Bandung Branch, and his team, Reza Aditya, were directly involved in organizing this CAP. "I love activities like this. It's a great added value for the company, and of course for our younger generation. We need more CAP activities in schools."
Dion Rahadian, Corporate Communications Designer at PT Astra Graphia Tbk, and Danny Prabowo, Owner of PT Sinergi Inti Sentosa (SINTESA), presented material to students at SMK Prima Grafika.
"After Graduating from Design Communication Visual, What Next?" was the overarching theme presented by two speakers: Dion Rahadian, Corporate Communications Designer at PT Astra Graphia Tbk, and Danny Prabowo, Owner of PT Sinergi Inti Sentosa (SINTESA), who is also an Astragraphia customer partner. Both speakers provided insights into the world of work and industry, from technical aspects such as how to maximize tools to produce compelling designs, to soft skills students need to master, such as discipline, good personal development, teamwork, and the like.
Dian, Principal of SMK Prima Grafika and Chair of the Dian Bina Harapan Foundation, stated that in the five years the school has been established, this is the first time the industry has visited or provided educational services. "In its previous location, this school was almost closed. Then I took over and moved it here. My motivation for reviving this school was to prevent children from falling into bad company."
Dian also added that the foundation is gradually developing school facilities, such as adding computers to the lab. Dian also waives tuition fees for most students, considering they come from families with less than stable economic circumstances.
Resource person Dion Rahadian also shared a positive view: "On average, the children here have good abilities. I give them material they haven't learned before, and they grasp it quickly. I give them assignments, and they all enthusiastically complete them."
