Astragraphia Promotes a Healthy and Environmentally Conscious Palembang

Posyandu health education session with the theme “Caring Parents, Well-Nourished Children, Healthy and Quality Growth.”

As part of Astragraphia’s 50th anniversary celebration, Astragraphia once again carried out Posyandu Health Education and Waste Sorting Education programs in Palembang. The two-day activities were held on September 8–9, 2026, at the Persada Building Hall, Ilir Timur Satu District, Palembang.

The first day began with a Posyandu Health Education session under the theme “Caring Parents, Well-Nourished Children, Healthy and Quality Growth.” The main session was delivered by dr. Fenny Pranandita, Sp.A from IHC Pertamina Plaju Hospital, who provided participants with an understanding of the importance of parental attention to children’s nutritional needs, growth, and development. The session encouraged parents to better understand the importance of providing children with proper and balanced nutrition in accordance with their growth and development needs. Beyond providing nutritious food, parental attention also plays an important role in creating an environment that supports children’s health and quality of life.

The second day continued with Astragraphia’s environmental pillar program under the theme “Sort Waste, Protect the Environment.” The session was delivered by Nurilla Elysa Putri, S.P., M.Si., Ph.D., who emphasized that environmental issues, particularly waste management, are not only related to the availability of facilities but are also closely connected to human behavior. She encouraged participants to understand that environmental change can begin with simple actions taken by each individual. Protecting the environment is important, and it must start with each of us.

In addition to providing education on waste sorting, Astragraphia also donated five waste-sorting facility packages, each consisting of separate bins for organic, inorganic, and residual waste. With the support of waste-sorting facilities and strengthened community knowledge, the program is expected to encourage the emergence of local heroes and community-led movements that can create sustainable environmental action. Change begins at home, grows through everyday habits, and is brought to life through the community.

Branch Manager of PT Astra Graphia Tbk (Astragraphia) Palembang Branch, Andri Kusmayadi, said, “In running our business, we are not solely focused on profit. We also strive to create a meaningful positive impact through our four social responsibility pillars: education, health, entrepreneurship, and the environment.”

The business sector can contribute through CSR programs, while the government can facilitate and strengthen community institutions. At the same time, communities serve as the key actors in driving behavioral change at the local level.
