Anditia Putra, Social Media Specialist at PT Astra Graphia Tbk doing presentation
Anditia Putra, Social Media Specialist at PT Astra Graphia Tbk acted as a resource person who gave an explanation about the importance of personal branding through social media. According to Anditia, a person needs to have a clear self-identity and be a differentiator from other people so that these characteristics stick in people's minds. This is also closely related to the world of work considering that recruiters from companies are currently not only selecting employee candidates from CVs, but also from their digital footprint.
Social media is not the only channel to explore the character of employee candidates further, but there are many insights in it that recruiters can consider whether to accept a candidate as an employee or reject it. As quoted from Anditia's source material, 70% of employers use social media to screen employees during the recruitment process. (CareerBuilder) and 90% of recruiters report that they have hired someone from a LinkedIn search. (Growr)
