Businesses are Significantly Affected, Astragraphia Still Distributes Dividends

Jakarta, April 14, 2021 - Today, PT Astra Graphia Tbk (Astragraphia) is holding an Annual General Meeting of Shareholders (AGMS) at Catur Dharma Hall, Menara Astra, Jakarta. In order to support the implementation of government policies related to the handling of the Covid-19 pandemic, Astragraphia shareholders can also provide power electronically through e-Proxy provided by the Indonesian Central Securities Depository (KSEI).


Throughout 2020, Astragraphia managed to maintain its position as the market leader in the A3 color and monochrome multifunction device segment, as well as production printers. This achievement was realized through consistent market penetration of the document solutions business unit as the company's core business. The information technology solution business unit run by a subsidiary of PT Astra Graphia Information Technology (AGIT) has succeeded in seizing opportunities from the acceleration of digital technology needs. In 2020, AGIT managed to record a new contract growth of 16% compared to the same period in 2019.

Government optimism is reflected in the predicted economic growth in 2021 of around 5%, after experiencing a contraction of 2.07% in 2020. The effectiveness of the Covid-19 vaccination is believed to also encourage gradual improvement in the regional economy. Even though it is improving, it is predicted that by the end of 2021 regional economic activity will remain below the pre-pandemic condition.

Hendrix Pramana added, "Domestic and foreign economic challenges are predicted to continue in 2021, however Astragraphia will strive to obtain better income and profits, while maintaining its leadership in the printing and digital industry through innovation and improving ways of working that are is followed by a precautionary principle."
The company has streamlined operational costs and capital costs through efforts to improve process efficiency and will continue to strive to carry out operational excellence in every business line process and seek new opportunities to get better results amid uncertain conditions.

Based on today's AGMS resolution, there is no change in the composition of the members of the Board of Commissioners and the Board of Directors of the Company. The AGMS approved the distribution of dividends to shareholders amounting to 40% of the total net profit for the 2020 financial year. Each Astragraphia shareholder will receive a total dividend of Rp14 per share. Previously, Astragraphia has distributed interim dividends on October 20, 2020 amounting to IDR 5, - and the remaining IDR 9, - will be paid on May 12, 2021.


Halim Wahjana - Director of PT Astra Graphia Tbk said, “Astragraphia has a fairly good cash position even though its business performance was significantly affected by the contraction in national economic growth as a result of the Covid-19 Pandemic. On a consolidated basis, Astragraphia recorded a net income of IDR 3.35 trillion and was able to generate a net profit of IDR 48 billion, where the largest contribution to net income was obtained from the core business of document solutions."
